Todays harvest

Just a quick post today!

As i’ve mentioned before, I love being able to grow edibles, especially when you can harvest exactly how much you need and use it straight away. That’s easy to do with lettuces and herbs. Thanks to the Southern Hemisphere spring, I can also begin the broad bean harvest:
harvestBroad beans are one of those things that are harder to find in the shops due to their short growing season, so I’m going to take full advantage of these beauties while I can. I picked this bunch early though, as I heard you can use the whole bean when they’re young. This little handful was chopped up, pods and all and was just enough for a quick and delicious pasta lunch.
